Geoda.ch provides address-based information derived from publicly available datasets published by Swiss federal, cantonal, and communal authorities, as well as other public institutions.

Purpose of the information

The information presented on Geoda.ch is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It is intended to help users better understand publicly available data related to locations, buildings, and their surrounding environment.

Geoda.ch is intended for private, non-commercial informational use.

Automated access

Automated access — including scraping, crawling, structured queries via scripts or APIs, and bulk downloading — is prohibited without prior written permission from Geoda.

Contractual penalty

Unauthorized commercial use or automated access of Geoda.ch may result in a contractual penalty of up to CHF 25,000, in addition to any other remedies available under Swiss law.


Intellectual property

The Geoda.ch interface — including its design, layout, source code, illustrations, and editorial content such as topic explainers and interpretive text — is the intellectual property of Geoda. Reproduction, modification, or redistribution requires written permission. The underlying public datasets remain the property of their respective Swiss authorities and are subject to their own licenses.


Data we collect

Geoda may collect anonymous usage statistics (such as view counts per address) and, for signed-in users, the email address and any preferences you choose to provide. We do not sell user data. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Applicable law and legal venue

These Terms of Service are governed exclusively by Swiss law, to the exclusion of conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive legal venue is Zurich, Switzerland.
